A. J. Pugh Butchers was opened by Andrew Pugh in a small town on the Welsh border in 1980. His goal was to supply locally produced meat with a family run background, meat would be supplied by his own family farm, which he grew up on, and also come from other local farms which are abundant and thriving in the area. Today, he still follows the same principles, and runs two shops with his son, Thomas Pugh, in the towns of Bishops Castle and Knighton.
