Knighton is centrally placed for access to/from Kington, Hereford, Shrewsbury, and Mid-Wales services.
By Train
Knighton is on the Heart of Wales line. The railway station is located below street level at Station Road beside the River Teme and about 1⁄2 mile (0.8 km) from The Red Lion. An interesting fact is that Knighton Station is in England, whereas Knighton itself is in Wales!
By Bus
The 738/740 bus, Knighton to Ludlow via Leintwardine runs regularly, and stops near the Knighton Community Centre, which is a 5 minute walk from The Red Lion.
Parking
Unfortunately, The Red Lion has no parking of it’s own. You will find free street parking throughout Knighton, plus a Multi-Storey car park at Tuffins Garage and a small car park at the Offas Dyke Centre.
